To remain eligible to claim a Medicare Australia benefit, a written referral from your General Practitioner, or other Specialist, is required for all consultations and diagnostic tests. Consultations typically have a duration of between 15 minutes to 30 minutes. However, please be assured that as much time as necessary will be given to properly assess and advise on your condition.
This may result in your Cardiologist running later than your scheduled appointment time.
You should also bring with you, your current Medicare Australia Card, Health Insurance Card, Pension Card, and any other information that you think might help your cardiologist with your assessment and treatment.
